Fairytales with Taylor is an all-girls book club founded by actress, singer, and writer, Taylor Castro, with the goal of spreading literacy. Taylor picks a book she loves every month and the members of the club discuss their thoughts on the discussion boards. You can find the discussion boards by clicking 'community' on the navigation bar.

Fairytales with Taylor focuses on stories aimed towards young girls. However, people of all ages and even genders are allowed to join as long as they follow community guidelines. That being said, most members of Fairytales with Taylor are girls ages 7-14.

It's easy! Just follow these steps:

3. Click 'join' and follow the steps listed to create an account!

2/3 illiterate adults across the world are women, but knowledge is power. By increasing education and empathy in young girls, we can create a more inclusive tomorrow. Likewise, studies show that third grade students who are considered proficient in reading are five times more likely to graduate highschool than their peers with what's considered below-basic reading skills. Furthermore, studies show that 82% of sixth graders who fail English class don't graduate highschool. By instilling a love for literature in young girls early on, we can better ensure stability in their personal future and the future of their communities.

Taylor also just really loves books targeted towards young girls. Why? They're one of the only art forms that doesn't idealize masculinity as the only avenue for strength or intelligence.
